Kodak Black and Plies team up for “F.E.M.A.: Finesse. Elevate. Motivate. Achieve.”
After coming through with a new single called “Halloween,” Kodak Black has blessed us with a new project, the Plies collaboration mixtape F.E.M.A: Finesse. Elevate. Motivate. Achieve. The Florida rappers previously collaborated on Plies anthem “Real Hitta,” proving that the chemistry between the new and the old school generation was alive and well. While “Real Hitta” went on to spawn a hilarious music video as well as several equally comical Instagram challenges, the song served as the jump-off point for a meeting of the minds. Now, Kodak and Plies have teamed up to bring us ten songs, and if you’re a fan of either artist, you’ll no doubt enjoy what they have to say.
Anyone familiar with Plies knows damn well that the man is an Instagram gem. His videos, in which he tends to offer advice to both male and females alike, are an endless goldmine, prompting many fans to wonder when the OG will land his own series. While that glorious day has yet to come, Plies definitely holds it down on F.E.M.A, trading bars with the ever-capable Kodak Black. Speaking of Kodak, it should be said that sometimes, the young rapper has the habit of over-saturating the market with singles, which can lead to a bit of an inconsistent discography. Here, however, Kodak is in fine form, sounding confident, coherent, and composed.
While this release may very well be overshadowed by the surprise Offset, 21 Savage, and Metro Boomin Without Warning mixtape, F.E.M.A. remains an enjoyable dose of Floridian rap. Bangers like “Too Much Money” will no doubt have your head nodding, and the ridiculous chorus of “No English” is the closest thing you’ll get to one of Plies Instagram classics. Be sure to download this one now, and throw up your money phones, even if it’s made up entirely of ones.
